Construction Production / Office Manager — Immediate Start - Contract to Hire
The Role This is a hands-on production management position supporting a high-volume residential operation. You will be responsible for keeping jobs moving, subcontractors accountable, clients informed, and billing on track. Core Responsibilities - Manage and maintain a master production schedule across 25–80+ active jobs per month - Coordinate subcontractor assignments, sequencing, and capacity planning across 5–7 active sub crews - Oversee client communication cadence — proactive status updates, warm-touch calls during queue periods, and pre-start confirmations - Support billing and milestone tracking in coordination with the billing team — triggering invoices, monitoring AR, and flagging collection issues - Run or support twice-weekly production meetings covering collections, high-risk jobs, and scheduling - Follow and refine SOPs and process documentation as the department continues to build operational infrastructure - Support field coordination by helping plan daily site visit routes based on job status and milestone progression - Work within Builder Prime (CRM), Google Sheets, RingCentral, and Slack daily ---
Qualifications
Required: - 5+ years in construction operations, production management, or office management — residential experience required, subcontractor model experience strongly preferred - Demonstrated experience managing subcontractor relationships including scheduling, milestone accountability, and payment coordination - Proficiency with construction CRMs or project management platforms (Builder Prime, Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, or comparable) - Advanced spreadsheet skills — ability to build, maintain, and improve operational trackers independently - Strong written and verbal communication across homeowner, subcontractor, and internal team interactions - Proven ability to work independently at a fast pace while keeping leadership appropriately informed Preferred: - Experience in high-volume residential production environments (50+ jobs/month) - Familiarity with milestone-based billing within a subcontractor model - Track record of stepping into an operation mid-build and improving it — process development, system implementation, or operational turnaround experience - Ability to onboard quickly using experience in best practices and fast guidance in existing in-progress systems. --- To Apply Please include: 1.
