Telehealth Physician (Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Only) California, California, United States Job Openings Telehealth Physician (Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Only) HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Telehealth Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine only) to join one of our valued client partners. This position is designed for experienced outpatient physicians who can independently manage a broad spectrum of adult primary care needs in a fully virtual environment. Only candidates who meet the required qualifications in full will be considered for interview. Physicians with inconsistent employment patterns or multiple short-term engagements without clear progression will not move forward in the hiring process. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive, technology-enabled outpatient care through synchronous and asynchronous telehealth platforms. Physicians will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions while maintaining high documentation standards and strong patient engagement across digital channels. The practice model emphasizes clinical ownership, efficient workflows, and collaboration with cross-functional care teams. Physicians selected for interview must demonstrate the ability to:

• Conduct thorough virtual evaluations via video and secure messaging platforms.
• Manage adult primary care conditions including chronic disease management, preventive care, and common acute complaints.
• Develop clear, evidence-based treatment plans and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Coordinate referrals, labs, imaging, and prescriptions within an integrated digital care system.
• Document accurately and efficiently in a structured EMR environment.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically in a virtual format.
• Participate in weekend coverage (minimum two weekend days per month).
• Maintain productivity standards while upholding clinical quality.

The following qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all criteria will not be considered:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine only.
• U.S.-trained and U.S.-based physician.
• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license in multiple states.
• Strong outpatient clinical foundation with demonstrated autonomy.
• Clean malpractice history with no pending legal or claims reviews.
• Minimum commitment of 12 clinical hours per week.
• Ability to work required weekend coverage (minimum two days per month).
• Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship).

Immediate disqualifiers include: Specialty backgrounds outside Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. International-only training or practice history. Any malpractice history or active claims. Inability to meet scheduling or licensure expectations. While not mandatory, the following experience will significantly strengthen candidacy:

• 5–10 years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Prior telehealth experience in a structured virtual care platform.
• Multi-state licensure in high-population states (e.g., CA, TX, FL, NY).
• Experience managing moderate-complexity outpatient panels.
• Comfort working within technology-enabled clinical workflows.
• Demonstrated stability in prior physician roles.

Schedule & Engagement Structure:

• Full-Time: Salaried with benefits.
• Part-Time: 1099 contractor engagement (no benefits).
• Weekend coverage required.

• Retool

Compensation:

• $160,000 – $200,000 base salary (Full-Time)
• Part-Time structured compensation available
• Benefits available for Full-Time physicians only
