Job Summary
As a Data Entry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customs declarations, while providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This part-time position requires a strong organizational and time management skills, as well as a professional attitude that exemplifies our company culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Understand and identify customs documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
- Transpose customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
- Verify documents received for Import customs purposes are compliant and correct, ensuring that all necessary information is accurate and complete
- Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance at all times to regulations, including those related to customs, trade, and logistics
- Daily execution of workflow and department metrics, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
Qualifications
* Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as business, logistics, or supply chain management
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including solid data entry with a high accuracy rate, email, internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Growth mindset, eager to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry
- Desire for a career in supply chain/logistics, with a passion for continuous learning and professional development
