Key Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

• Promptly entering prescription data with accuracy and attention to detail
• Verifying prescription information and maintaining up-to-date patient records
• Communicating with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies and secure additional information as needed
• Adhering to strict quality and compliance standards, including HIPAA regulations
• Utilizing and troubleshooting pharmacy software and systems to optimize workflows
• Collaborating with pharmacists, providers, patients, and team members to ensure seamless communication and exceptional patient care

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Active pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) and licensure in accordance with Virginia Board of Pharmacy requirements
• Commitment to maintaining continuing education and staying updated on industry best practices
• 1-2 years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare-related data entry, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency (preferred not required)
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and the ability to handle sensitive patient information responsibly
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and maintain productivity benchmarks while handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with pharmacists, providers, patients, and team members
• Proficiency in utilizing and troubleshooting pharmacy software and systems to optimize workflows
• Familiarity with 503A or 503B compounding workflows, or experience in data entry for specialty pharmacies (preferred not required)
