Job Description
As a Customer Service Representative / Call Center Representative, you will be responsible for interacting with members of the community who seek information about summonses, schedule hearings, and/or pay fines. Your primary duties will include:
- Serving as the liaison between arenaflex and the community, providing information and support to members of the public
- Responding to community inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring that all members of the community understand the adjudication process and have access to the information they need
- Investigating and attempting to resolve complaints from the public appearing before arenaflex
- Ensuring that cases are processed in a timely manner to minimize wait time for the public
- Reviewing, confirming, and ensuring accurate information is provided to members of the community who have been issued summonses
- Assisting in all aspects of processing cases efficiently when members of the public appear for hearings
Hybrid Office / Remote Work Schedule Available
After an initial training period, you will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid office / remote schedule, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following qualification requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to duties described above
- Education and/or experience that is equivalent to the above
Preferred Skills
While not required, the following skills are preferred:
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe, with knowledge in Excel
- Office experience, including dealing with members of the public
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- History of volunteerism, such as service in the AmericCorps or Peace Corps, is viewed favorably

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.

* Competitive salary range: $43,143.00 – $49,615.00
