Experienced Data Entry Clerk – Alternate Investments (Remote Opportunity)

Job Summary
As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for processing trade deal purchases, reconciling transactions, and addressing breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents. You will also be involved in processing Corporate Activity Activities, settling/reconciling transactions, and processing/reconciling returns activity. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as you will be responsible for analyzing complex issues, testing/validation of new innovation enhancements, and provider modifications.
Key Responsibilities
* Process trade deal purchases in customer profiles and determine/address breaks recognized between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents
- Process Corporate Activity Activities, settle/reconcile transactions, and process/reconcile returns activity
- Analyze complex/escalated issues and perform testing/validation of new innovation enhancements and provider modifications
- Complete projects in Trading, Dividends, Transfers, Reconciliation, and Corporate Actions that directly impact the Client/Advisor profile
- Engage with Retail and Institutional Service Teams via email, phone, Slack, Overview, and Salesforce
- Collaborate with fund companies, transfer agents, opposite agencies, and other external business partners to resolve issues and provide exceptional service
Analysis and Troubleshooting
* Review subscription deals or transfer requests
- Identify and address Client/Advisor amount exceptions
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
- Reconcile Business, Dividend, and Transactions Breaks
- Facilitate reconciliation across BOS and Fund Companies
- Review and analyze correct tax coding and corrections of tax coding issues
- Troubleshoot internal/external system issues or concerns
- Identify root cause of breaks between TDA, the Fund, etc.
- Provide method or innovation service alternatives to Management
- Remediate transfer issues with the Fund or Opposite Firm
- Answer business partner inquiries concerning Fund details requirements/eligibility
- Provide follow-up on Substitute Expenditure moves to expedite the customer demand or remediate not neat issues
- Promptly and accurately finalize client investing and dividend demands
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 0-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Experience with Salesforce and other CRM systems a plus
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in the financial industry or a related field
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
- Experience with data entry software and systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
