Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Development Manager to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our retail partnerships and category growth team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering insights and recommendations using various data sources, monitoring the field execution of vendor programs, and staying informed of analytic best practices across the industry. You will analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, track category performance, and develop, communicate, and execute performance metrics and goals. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you create and deliver reports using Point of Sale (POS) data, syndicated data from sources like Nielsen and IRI, and account-specific databases.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Development Manager at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating and Delivering Insights and Recommendations: Develop and deliver actionable insights and recommendations using various data sources, including POS data, syndicated data, and account-specific databases.
• Monitoring Field Execution of Vendor Programs: Stay informed of the field execution of vendor programs and provide guidance and support to ensure effective program implementation.
• Staying Informed of Analytic Best Practices: Stay up-to-date on the latest analytic best practices across the industry and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
• Analyzing and Reporting Data: Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Tracking Category Performance: Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, and provide insights and recommendations for growth.
• Developing and Executing Performance Metrics and Goals: Develop, communicate, and execute performance metrics and goals, and monitor progress to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Creating and Delivering Effective Reports: Create and deliver effective reports using POS data and syndicated data, and provide insights and recommendations for business growth and improvement.
• Analyzing Supply Chain and Evaluating Supplier Performance: Analyze the supply chain to evaluate and recommend supplier performance, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Understanding and Applying Customer, Consumer, and Industry Insights: Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data, and provide recommendations for business growth and improvement.
• Ensuring Superior Client Satisfaction: Ensure superior client satisfaction through deep analytics and team problem-solving, and provide insights and recommendations for business growth and improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree and Experience in the CPG Sector: A bachelor's degree and experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector, with a preference for the Adult Beverage industry.
• Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor Operations: A deep understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, including category management principles and shopper/consumer insights.
• Expertise in Category Management Principles and Shopper/Consumer Insights: Expertise in category management principles and shopper/consumer insights, including high-level understanding of category management processes and practices.
• Assertive Leadership and Decision-Making Skills: Assertive leadership and decision-making skills, with high energy and a strong ability to drive results.
• Preferred Experience with Syndicated Data and Internal Shipment Data: Preferred experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI) and internal shipment data, including strong foundation in business fundamentals and business finance.
• Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, Decision-Making, and Quantitative Analysis Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

While not required, the following skills and experiences would be beneficial:

• Experience in the Adult Beverage Industry: Experience in the Adult Beverage industry, including familiarity with market research methodologies.
• Ability to Collaborate with External Retail Customers and Key Suppliers: Ability to collaborate with external retail customers and key suppliers, including strong communication and interpersonal skills.
