Key Responsibilities
As a Union Benefits Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in educating union members about the benefits available to them through their affiliation. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service to union members, responding to their inquiries, and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Educating members about the benefits available to them, including health insurance, life insurance, and other union-provided benefits
- Working closely with union associations to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of benefits to our clients
- Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional benefits to union members, while maintaining a customer-centric approach
- Maintaining accurate records and reports to track member engagement and benefit utilization
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and meeting sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with union members and internal stakeholders
- Self-motivation and a desire for professional growth and development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends (as needed)
- Fluency in English (Bilingual in any language is a plus, but not required)
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
- Knowledge of benefits administration and union-provided benefits
- Familiarity with CRM software and other technology platforms
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
