Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Ramp Agent, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and mail to and from aircraft. Your daily tasks will include:
- Safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, while ensuring timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from the gate positions.
- Safeguarding cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather conditions.
- Safely driving and operating ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion.
- Operating baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational excellence and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Work Environment and Scheduling
As a Ramp Agent, you'll work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts, including early morning to overnight shifts. You'll be required to work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on your seniority. Our scheduling is based on operational needs, and each station is different based on its individual flight schedule.

What You Need To Succeed
To be successful as an Experienced Ramp Agent, you'll need:
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in English.
- Pass a physical ability test (PAT). You can prepare for the PAT by watching this video.
- Must wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to include, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear (bump cap or hard hat), and high visibility safety apparel subject to an approved accommodation, such as alternate PPE.
- Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
