Insurance Accounts Receivable Specialist III
Job Description:
- Handle complex claim scenarios
- Resolve out-of-network claims
- Review and write appeals
- Assist with training and mentorship of staff
- Serve as a resource for team members
- Perform billing-related tasks including data entry, claim and charge review
- Manage a greater volume and complexity of work
- Identify and escalate payer issues
- Follow standard workflows and proactively seek further education
- Review reports to identify revenue opportunities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in related field preferred
- Previous experience in a customer service or healthcare setting required
- Advanced knowledge of billing systems, denial management, and payer-specific requirements
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills;
- Ability to coach, train, and mentor other team members
- Experience writing appeals and handling escalated claim issues
- Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office
