Medical Documentation Analyst
Medical Documentation Analyst (MN Based Candidates) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00 Location: 100% Remote Type: Temp‑to‑Hire Pay: $67,000-$75,000 annually (MN‑based candidates) Role Summary The Medical Documentation Analyst supports healthcare providers-with insurance‑required medical and clinical documentation. This role focuses on documentation accuracy, insurance compliance, provider support, and relationship‑based service to improve approval outcomes and provider experience. Key Focus Areas
- * Provide direct documentation support to healthcare providers completing clinical evaluations, medical documentation, and insurance submissions
- Guide providers through insurance requirements, medical necessity criteria, and documentation standards
- Serve as a primary contact for documentation inquiries, case management questions, and provider communication
- Conduct proactive provider outreach, follow‑ups, and documentation reminders to improve completeness and turnaround times
- Review medical records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity prior to insurance submission
- Maintain detailed documentation of all provider interactions, case notes, and communication logs in compliance with HIPAA and FERPA
- Utilize CRM systems, documentation databases, and case management tools to track documentation progress
- Manage multiple documentation files while meeting response time, service level, and quality standards
- Collaborate with medical funding, clinical, operations, and insurance teams to resolve documentation gaps
- Collect, track, and maintain documentation data for audits, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
- Identify trends, barriers, and opportunities for workflow optimization and documentation efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to documentation accuracy, provider experience, and insurance approval rates
Qualifications
- * Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years in Medical Funding
- 2+ years in customer service or provider support wihtin healthcare
- Strong communication, organization, and multi‑tasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation or CRM systems
- Data Entry and/or account management skills
