Social Media Manager for Boutique Marketing Agency (6-8 Client Accounts, Ongoing)
We are a boutique marketing and operations support firm based on Long Island, NY working with small business owners across health, wellness, legal, and entrepreneurship. We are looking for a reliable, experienced Social Media Manager to join our small team on an ongoing monthly basis. This is consistent, predictable work. If you are organized, professional, and want steady retainer-based work without having to manage your own client pipeline, this is a great fit. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING You will manage social media execution across 6 to 8 client accounts. Our graphic designer handles all static graphics and designed assets, so your focus is on strategy, captions, scheduling, and engagement. Day to day this looks like: - Building and maintaining monthly content calendars for each client - Writing captions that match each client's brand voice and tone - Scheduling and publishing content using a social media scheduling platform - Coordinating with our graphic designer on asset timing and content flow - Working with client-provided photos, videos, and branding materials to create posts and stories - Monitoring engagement and responding to comments and DMs per client guidelines - Delivering monthly performance reports for each account - Communicating proactively with the agency owner on approvals and deadlines ABOUT THE ACCOUNTS Clients are primarily small business owners and entrepreneurs. Industries include health and wellness, legal, and entrepreneurship. Content is professional, polished, and brand-driven. Platforms include Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn depending on the client. REELS Some clients will provide raw video or photos they want turned into reels. Short-form video editing experience is a plus and may open the door to additional project-based work, but it is not required for this role. Our graphic designer also handles reels when needed. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - 2+ years managing social media for multiple clients or brands at the same time - Strong caption writing with the ability to adapt to different brand voices - Experience with scheduling platforms (Later, SocialPilot, Meta Business Suite, or similar) - Highly organized and reliable. You do not miss deadlines and you communicate early if something comes up - Comfortable working within a small team and following brand guidelines - Familiarity with Trello, Google Drive, and Canva is a plus - Short-form video editing experience is a bonus but not required COMPENSATION $1,200 to $1,400 per month based on experience, for 6 to 8 accounts. $30–$35 an hour. Rate adjusts as account volume grows or based on experience. Additional project-based work is available for reels and specialty content.
