JOB DESCRIPTION: Solutions Consultant CLASSIFICATION: Exempt JOB SUMMARY The Solutions Consultant works within the Sales & Marketing organization as a member of the Go to Market Team. The Solutions Consultant is responsible for guiding clients from the initial inquiry/RFP through the onboarding process to Go-Live of ongoing services. The Solutions Consultant works closely with the Sales team throughout the buying process, from scope definition and pricing, to sales meeting prep and execution, and ultimately through contract signature. Once a deal is officially won, the Solutions Consultant works with the Operations team members to ensure the scope of work delivered to the client is aligned with the contractual Statement of Work. The Solutions Consultant role requires a solid technical background with strong client relationship and project management skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Own RFP/Proposal pricing, scope of services, service level agreements, and operational assignments Own sales presentation discussion/support for the system demo (employee experience, manager/administrator experience, back-office configuration), all products/services, operational design/methodology, staffing design/methodology, and the service delivery model Responsible for system demo preparation – including development/configuration of prospect-specific requirements as needed Provide content and support for all presentation materials, meeting themes, and Empyrean positioning Own preparation and performance of operations team members participating in sales activities Own the Statement of Work through the contracting process, working with the sales representative, client, and internal operations resources as needed Own the handoff from Sales to Operations upon close and before implementation kickoff Influence operations team staffing based on client scope and design requirements Provide oversight through implementation to ensure alignment of scope to delivery Perform other job-related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Familiarity with health benefits administration products and overall service delivery model Familiarity with the benefits administration outsourcing sales process Proficient with MS Office Experience in group presentation settings Ability to confidently lead prospective client presentations with or without the assistance of a Sales Representative Professional written and verbal communication skills in multiple settings, ranging from one on one to group presentations, both internally and externally Excellent cognitive reasoning, analytical, planning and process development skills Exhibit strong business judgment, high level of initiative and competitiveness Working experience with regards to project management Ability to demonstrate versatile decision making in a fast paced environment, which promote win/win problem solving solutions. Relational skill in working as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues, establishing rapport and gaining the trust of others EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in benefits administration outsourcing, system implementation, managing client relationships, sales or a related field 5+ years in the benefits administration outsourcing industry, with direct experience performing/managing system implementation activities (requirements, system design, system configuration, etc.), managing client relationships, and participating in various levels of administration operations executions.
