Valuations Vendor Manager
Job Description:
- Develop vendor selection process to ensure business unit owners and vendors are aware of expectations and consequences; obtains maximum pricing leverage and concessions, facilitates shared understanding of sourcing objectives and requirements that are aligned with business goals.
- Understand the complete breadth of professional services and related risks provided by vendors and current support services for all ValuationNEXUS clients.
- Proactively recommends process, service, or technology improvements that will result in cost reduction, improved productivity, and service performance.
- Identify, recommend, and assist with onboarding new valuation vendors (AMCs and Panel Appraisers).
- Detect, test, and implement new valuation products for loan origination and capital market due diligence.
- Monthly vendor performance analysis, tracking, and internal reporting of findings.
- Create, provide, and document vendor oversight communication and training.
- Proactively supports knowledge sharing across all departments.
- Design, develop, and deliver training to internal vendor owners on vendor management requirements and topics.
- Collaborate with valuation coordinators and reviewers to create and calibrate score card metrics and delivery cadence.
- Work with valuation coordinators and reviewers to identify appropriate vendor order capacities and coverage areas by product, based on performance.
- Recommend offboarding or, if needed, disciplinary actions for poor vendor performance.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of institutional residential real estate valuation experience.
- 3-5 years of vendor management experience, preferably in real estate valuation/appraisal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, PowerBI, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Can analyze large datasets in Excel or other BI solutions and create useful information for internal decisions.
- Experience in creating training materials and delivering sensitive feedback to internal and external parties.
- Proven knowledge on the strengths, weaknesses, and application of valuation products and data sources used throughout the industry.
- Works with a sense of urgency and limited oversight.
- Desires to identify process inefficiencies and craft viable solutions.
- Able to manage projects and deliver results on time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to succinctly defend decisions on sensitive issues to internal and external stakeholders.
