Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Payroll Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a full-time, contract, or temporary basis. As a Payroll Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for assisting with the preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll processes, providing exceptional customer service to our employees, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records. Responsibilities
As a Payroll Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Review time sheets, process wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with established payroll policies and procedures
- Verify hours worked and pay adjustments
- Compute wages and deductions
- Maintain and update payroll records
- Produce, review, and upload quarterly reports for State and Government agencies
- Pay weekly taxes
- Manage Positive pay/Direct Deposit/Pay Cards
- Process W2s
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll data entry or a related field
- Excellent attention to detail and numerically skilled
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-starter environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous in this role:
- Experience with payroll software and systems
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Certification in payroll management (e.g., CPP, FPC)
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
