About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our Information and Investigation group, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of our data-driven strategies. With a strong focus on innovation and collaboration, you will work closely with our team of experts to design, build, and maintain cutting-edge data solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data engineering solutions, including data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling. You will work closely with our Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver high-quality data solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Add to the design and development of our data items and data centers around Information and Maintenance Examination and Information Science
• Plan and develop flexible data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in Big Data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid)
• Our tech stack includes Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, Flink, and Windstream, and languages include Python, Scala
• Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops
• Collaborate with Information Item Chiefs, Information Modelers, and Information Architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions
• Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance
• Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support our commitment to our clients (Information Science, Information Examination groups)
• Be a proactive member and advocate of agile/scrum practice to ensure safety and cycle improvements for your team

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets
• Experience with distributed systems like Flink, Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala
• Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Windstream) and writing and maintaining data pipelines
• Strong knowledge of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices and procedures
• Experience with Scrum and Agile approaches

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

• Experience with cloud technologies like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2)
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
