Experienced Patient Client Advocate – Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative

Key Responsibilities

As a Patient Client Advocate, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls from members, providers, physicians, and internal and external clients related to pharmacy benefits
  • Researching and resolving problems in a timely manner, ensuring that our members receive the support they need
  • Assisting members in understanding and maximizing the use of their pharmacy distribution program
  • Utilizing our computerized system to gather information and respond to questions
  • Documenting issues and resolutions in our common database
  • Escalating issues as necessary to ensure that our members receive the best possible service

Essential Functions

* Handle inbound and outbound member, provider, and physician calls

  • Answer questions related to pharmacy benefits, maintaining productivity standards and performance guarantees where applicable
  • Work with other operational departments to research and resolve mail order and claims issues and respond to members within performance agreement guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries to continuously improve the customer service process and reduce potential legal concerns
  • Identify and escalate concerns received from patients and/or clients in a prudent manner, ensuring that corrective action can be pursued and expedited to take care of their needs
  • Adhere to good housekeeping techniques, quality and production standards, and comply with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and ensure exceptional patient care

Qualifications

* 1 year of experience in a call center environment (preferred)

  • 1 year of experience in customer service (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in computerized systems and databases
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
