Job Summary

As a Chat Moderator, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity and safety of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules. This is a part-time, remote position that requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a passion for community building. Key Responsibilities

* Moderate the chat of our official Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules

• Delete messages made by users that violate our rules, including but not limited to:

+ Hate speech or harassment + Spam or self-promotion + Inflammatory or divisive content

• Ban users who have multiple and repeat violations of our rules, following our established procedures for user suspension and termination
• Mute users who have violated our rules, restricting their ability to participate in the chat
• Investigate reports made by users about violations of our rules, ensuring that all incidents are thoroughly reviewed and addressed
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective community management strategies, ensuring that our Discord server remains a safe and respectful environment for all users
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to user inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Essential Qualifications

* Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a remote environment
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
• Familiarity with Discord and its features, including chat moderation tools and user management
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in community management, customer service, or a related field

• Familiarity with online safety and security protocols, including hate speech and harassment prevention
• Knowledge of digital governance and community building principles
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex issues

Compensation and Benefits

The Chat Moderator position offers a competitive compensation package, including:
