Job Summary
As an External Support Engineer, you'll be the primary point of contact for content teams experiencing issues with our content tools. You'll work closely with the tools engineering team to resolve issues, create reference materials, and provide training to ensure seamless adoption. Your expertise will help drive feature development, improve workflows, and advocate for tools and process enhancements.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high-quality user experience
- Create comprehensive reference materials and deliver training sessions to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, promoting efficient adoption and utilization
- Troubleshoot and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, collaborating with the tools development team to resolve complex problems and improve overall system reliability
- Escalate critical or problematic issues to the tool development team, working closely with production to track these issues in JIRA and ensure timely resolution
- Act as a champion for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement
- Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that enhance efficiency, quality, and user experience
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive feature development from concept to completion, ensuring alignment and effective communication across teams
- Demonstrate exceptional reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for collaboration and teamwork
Skills and Abilities
* Strong understanding of C# code and ability to read, write, and debug code
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with external partners and stakeholders
- Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective, constructive feedback, fostering a culture of growth and improvement
- Exceptional organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests simultaneously, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality results
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional results
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of system reliability and performance
- Familiarity with Unity 3D game and tool development, iOS and Android mobile development, and Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software
- 5+ years of experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of innovation and collaboration
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
arenaflex operates on a flexible schedule, with core hours from 10:00am to 6:00pm CST. We expect our team members to be available for meetings and collaborations during this time, while also allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.

Compensation and Benefits
arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, carefully tailored to reflect market indicators and individual qualifications. Our salary range for this role is typically $150,000 - $325,000, depending on location and specific job requirements. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
