Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing friendly assistance and maintaining positive relationships with all internal and external customers
  • Working in a helpful spirit to ensure the success of our organization
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to individuals traveling, using freight or baggage services by addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Handling all aspects of check-in and baggage handling by operating a modernized retail location system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
  • Responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers in a courteous and friendly manner. Handles cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets. Processes transactions, makes change, and balances daily exchanges. Is responsible for overage or shortage
  • Inspects baggage and freight. Answers phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed. Handles transactions necessary to load the aircraft in an efficient and productive manner
  • Manages distressed customers due to oversells, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged luggage. Resolves such issues quickly and within the rules established by the organization
  • Provides current and accurate information, schedules, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answers general inquiries from customers and other guests at the airport
  • Completes forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Writes incident and complaint reports as needed
  • Responsibilities may vary due to the size and configuration of the station
  • Should be able to meet any physical demands listed in this description
  • May perform other work assignments as directed by Supervisors

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet the needs of the job
  • Ability to understand records, follow procedures, learn and comprehend tagging systems, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful circumstances
  • Should be able to complete the Customer Service Representative training program with an 80% or higher average and a satisfactory assessment period
  • Should be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle crises on a case-by-case basis
  • Should be able to work under close time deadlines to achieve rapid turnaround of aircraft
  • Should present a well-groomed appearance in understanding the Ground Service Representative Handbook and Work Standards
  • Should be able to perform all job duties within a confined space
  • Should be able to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively
  • Should have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Should be able to communicate information and directions verbally or via radio equipment

* Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
  • Familiarity with airline operations and procedures
