Job Summary
We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Community Team as a Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and positive engagement of our community members, while providing exceptional customer support through Zendesk. Responsibilities
As a Community Moderator and Customer Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for the following key areas: ### Community Moderation
- Monitor user interactions within the application to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Enforce community guidelines and policies to maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Engage with community members, address concerns, and provide assistance when needed.
- Welcome and greet new users, fostering a sense of belonging.
- Collaborate with the Community Team to develop and implement community engagement strategies.
### Customer Support
- Respond to user inquiries and support requests via Zendesk in a timely and professional manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues effectively, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Collaborate with the technical team to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Provide insights and feedback to improve community engagement and user satisfaction.
### Documentation
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of user interactions and support requests.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Community Team on community engagement and user satisfaction.
### Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with the Community Team to develop and implement new community engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of community guidelines and policies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Empathetic and patient with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with mental health topics and a commitment to promoting a supportive environment.
- Previous experience in community moderation and/or customer support is preferred.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms.
- Must have previous experience using Zendesk.
- Academic or professional background in psychology or mental health is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology is preferred.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with approximately 20-30 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs. The schedule will be flexible, with the ability to work from home and adjust your hours to meet the needs of the community.
