The Role
As an Operations Training Systems Specialist, you will be a key member of our team, driving our Energy Management System (EMS) and related applications. You will be responsible for:
- Framework Management: Own the plan, programming, design, and continuous updates of SCADA equipment and software frameworks.
- Information Accessibility: Create and maintain solutions for real-time and authentic information access for end-users.
- Security Governance: Execute and administer security efforts for the ICS framework, utilizing OpenVPN, VLAN, and CA declaration security models.
- Web and Virtual Administrations: Create and maintain web and virtual administrations within the environment.
- Functional Support: Collaborate closely with Tasks and Support groups, promptly addressing urgent requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation for change management and foster standard working procedures.
Required Capabilities and Abilities
* Experience: At least three (3) years of significant experience in SCADA or related fields.
- Relational Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on customer care.
- Technical Skills: Essential programming, database administration, and server organization abilities.
- Organizing Information: Understanding of TCP/IP networks with experience configuring network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Energy Frameworks Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of energy systems, including chilled water, hot water, compressed air, air conditioning, and lighting system controls.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to investigate and determine technical issues independently.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work outside regular hours as needed to address work requests, equipment availability, and crises.
- Field Work: Comfort working in various environments, including field conditions.
Favored Capabilities
* Building Automation Systems: Experience with Carrier I-Vu Building Automation systems.
- Programming and GUI: Abilities in programming for Building Automation Systems and creating graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
- Open Frameworks Conventions: Demonstrated knowledge with open frameworks conventions like BACnet and Modbus.
- Utility SCADA Systems: Experience with utility SCADA systems, PLCs, and Step Rationale.
- Universal Control Systems: Experience with utility Universal Control Systems.
Education
* Degree: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
