Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Data Entry Assistant to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our company's databases and computer systems. As a Data Entry Assistant, you'll be responsible for collecting and entering data into our systems, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service. Essential Job Duties

As a Data Entry Assistant at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Enters alphabetical and numerical data from source documents, compares entered data to source documents, deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data.
  • Maintains accurate department files and documentation.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence emails.
  • Responsible for copying records as needed.
  • Answers department phones, processes calls, and forwards and/or takes messages.
  • Responsible for data entry of orders (new and changed) and quotes.
  • Maintains order files and is responsible for storage of closed order files.
  • Checks and confirms accuracy of purchase orders.
  • Assists with customer files when necessary.
  • Performs all other duties and functions of the department as assigned or required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in administrative functions in an office environment, entering data and processing documentation.
  • Computer literate, able to use PC-based word processors to enter data into files and spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong English grammar and spelling skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to understand departmental documentation and process it accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Previous experience as a data entry clerk or similar position.
  • Familiarity with online forms and data entry software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
