Key Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Remote Customer Service Chat Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service through various digital channels, including social media and app-based chat functions
  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilizing provided steps and instructions to ensure accurate and efficient issue resolution
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues
  • Maintaining a high level of product knowledge and staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments
  • Working independently with minimal supervision, while also being an active team player
  • Meeting and exceeding performance metrics and targets

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1+ year of experience in customer service, preferably in a remote or virtual environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being an active team player
  • Reliable internet connectivity and a device able to access social media and app-based chat functions (Phone/Tablet/Laptop)
  • 10+ hours of availability per week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong product knowledge and a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends and developments

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of customer service software and tools, such as Zendesk or Freshdesk
  • Experience working with social media and app-based chat functions
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Fluency in multiple languages
