Job Summary

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in helping qualified applicants obtain loans in a timely manner while protecting our organization's credibility. You'll be responsible for performing approvals of consumer loans, making payment arrangements, and assisting customers with any questions or concerns. Responsibilities and Duties

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to engage with customers and resolve their queries
  • Consistently and accurately documenting all information pertaining to accounts, ensuring seamless communication and record-keeping
  • Utilizing basic business math to solve problems and provide accurate solutions
  • Communicating clearly, concisely, and effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor, demonstrating sensitivity, tact, and empathy when interacting with customers
  • Following written and/or verbal instructions to ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Processing card payments accurately and efficiently
  • Performing the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
  • Reviewing applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan
  • Following up with customers to clarify important points and provide additional information
  • Finalizing loan details and keeping customers informed about rules and obligations
  • Staying up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services to provide expert guidance and support
  • Creating and renewing records to maintain accurate and organized documentation
  • Identifying customer needs and exploring all available options to provide personalized solutions
  • Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, adapting quickly to changing company needs
  • Multi-tasking by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously to ensure seamless communication

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing exceptional experiences
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure, navigating tense situations with ease
  • Proficiency with technology, including computers, software applications, and phone systems
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and cloud-based storage
  • Ability to work in a remote environment, with minimal supervision

Preferred Education and/or Experience

While not required, a degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, communications) or relevant experience in customer service or a related field would be beneficial.

Technical Skills

* Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Proficient user of the Internet and cloud-based storage
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other relevant tools

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

As an Overnight Customer Service Representative, you'll be required to:

  • Sit for extended periods, talking and listening constantly
  • Work a 3rd shift schedule from 11pm to 7am
  • Participate in a fully remote work environment after the initial 1-week training period (training will be conducted in-person from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday)
