Data Curation Associate

In this role, you will closely collaborate with various teams to curate and maintain places data sets that are essential for our operations and decision-making processes. As a Data Curation Associate, you will work on multiple projects, analyzing data to identify, fix, or report issues while strictly following established policies to ensure high accuracy. A key part of your role will involve "deep-dive" analysis into search queries—for example, investigating why a user couldn't find a specific place—to understand if our dataset is missing a location or contains naming discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze search-related issues and select the most relevant resolution, following our workflows and policies.
  • Review and correct large volumes of data, meticulously documenting issues for analysis.
  • Escalate issues effectively to relevant internal teams.
  • Perform deep dives and root cause analysis.
  • Work with mapping tools with high accuracy in accordance with guidelines.
  • Work with the Google Suite of products/services such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Meet, Calendar, etc.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.

Experience:

  • Upper-Intermediate (B2) level of English or higher.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with high concentration and sustained attention to detail.
  • General understanding of the traffic regulations and mapping fundamentals.
  • Customer obsessed: You have proven experience working with customers and are passionate about delivering great customer experiences with a strong track record to back that up. You have analytical and problem-solving skills to help implement changes that improve the customer experience.
  • Collaborative communicator: You excel in verbal and written communication (English, Ukrainian). You collaborate effectively with your team and can communicate with other teams or stakeholders as needed. You are receptive to feedback and direction, enabling you to successfully carry out tasks and contribute to team goals.
  • Technical Fluency: You feel comfortable using Google Workspace products, as well as learning new processes, systems & tools.

Nice to have:

  • Experience analyzing failed user sessions.
  • General experience working with repetitive tasks andor data analysis with high concentration.
  • Experience mentoring/sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Background in mapping, cartography and any related fields.
  • Familiarity with Jira.
  • Basic understanding of SQL.
