Associate Attorney
Edsall Law is a Camarillo-based firm focused on providing trusted legal services in estate planning, trust administration, and probate. They are seeking a California-licensed Attorney to provide maternity leave coverage for a full-time Associate Attorney, responsible for managing an established caseload and supporting clients through legal processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload focused on estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including wills, trusts, and related filings
- Meet with clients to gather information, provide updates, and guide them through legal processes
- Communicate with courts, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders as needed
- Maintain organized case files and ensure timely handling of all matters
- Collaborate with internal staff to ensure high-quality client service and workflow efficiency
- Support post-death administration matters, including trust administration and probate proceedings
- Participate in onboarding and transition training with the current attorney prior to leave
Skills
- Active California Bar license (required)
- Strong legal writing, communication, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters with strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to quickly learn processes and step into an active caseload
- Experience in estate planning, probate, or trust administration preferred but not required
