Internal Collections Representative

The Internal Collections Representative is responsible for contacting and managing the accounts of past residents who owe AMH a balance by negotiating repayment terms, setting up payment arrangements, disputing charges, ensuring payments are made in accordance with the signed agreement, and ensuring those signed agreements reach completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with previous tenants via outbound calls, inbound calls and/or emails regarding bast due balances. Provide accurate and timely assistance and document activity in CRM database.
  • Support the department by performing administrative duties such as noting accounts, managing profiles, and updating records.
  • Support the team by attending meetings and participating in growth and development opportunities including coaching and attending training.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of Collections experience, preferably in a call center environment.
  • Experience with customer service software applications.
  • Understanding of VOIP phone systems
  • Knowledge of Real Estate or Property Management industry preferred.
  • Intermediate PC and MS Office skills.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality.

Compensation

The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $20.00 Hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience.

Additional Compensation

This position is eligible to receive monthly bonus payments.
