Summary:

In this role, you will lead the development and growth of Vizient’s category strategy across fleet management, vehicle purchasing, car rental, and rideshare services. You will build and scale sourcing and advisory programs that help healthcare organizations optimize transportation-related spend and operations, while establishing Vizient as a market thought leader. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop strategic supplier partnerships, and drive client adoption and revenue growth through innovative, data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategy for fleet management, vehicle purchasing, car rental, and rideshare services.

  • Build and expand contracted solutions and advisory offerings through a multi-year roadmap.

  • Establish and manage strategic supplier partnerships and national agreements.

  • Lead sourcing initiatives that deliver competitive pricing, operational value, and innovation.

  • Drive growth in contracted spend, client adoption, and revenue generation.

  • Partner with sales teams to position category solutions and support client engagement.

  • Provide analytics-driven insights and consulting guidance to influence client decision-making.

  • Facilitate executive-level discussions and build relationships with senior client stakeholders.

  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and supplier innovations to inform strategy.

  • Develop thought leadership and contribute to marketing, proposal development, and business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, or consulting within transportation or related services.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and present effectively to executive audiences.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies, drive revenue outcomes, and build strategic client and supplier relationships.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex projects, managing multiple priorities, and mentoring less experienced team members.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
