Job title: Districtwide Substitute Cleaner (as-needed basis) Company: Farmington Public Schools Job description: Farmington Public Schools has an opening for Substitute Cleaner positions in the district; position is on-call, as needed. Substitute positions do not include benefits. Pay rate is $16.00/hour. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Substitute Cleaner will be responsible for the cleaning of rest rooms, class rooms, offices and other assigned areas, and will record and report maintenance jobs to the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: A. Candidate should be able to read and write English and follow written and oral instructions. B. Consideration will be given to the following: 1. References that indicate the candidate demonstrate courtesy in dealing with students, parents, teachers, principals, superintendents and the general public. 2. A basic knowledge of general cleaning methods. 3. A good work record. 4. Must be in good physical health to successfully perform required duties. REPORTS TO: Building Head Custodian or SupervisorDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Within the Building 1. Wet and dry mop floors, vacuum rugs, dust and polish furniture, lockers, and special equipment. 2. Clean all glass surfaces and windows in interior of building. 3. Wash walls, furniture, toilet fixtures, partitions and other equipment. 4. Replace lavatory supplies. 5. Dispose of waste paper and rubbish. 6. Communicate with supervisor any problems in your area. 7. Performs related duties as assigned by the supervisor. B. Adjacent to the Building 1. Performs related duties limited to this job description.
