This position is eligible for remote work at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. 

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Consultant - Large Earthmoving Products- Eastern US  for JD WW Construction & Forestry you will support the growth of our large earthmoving equipment business across the Eastern United States. This is a high impact, field-focused role responsible for accelerating sales by providing product, application, and customer value expertise. You will work directly with dealer sales teams, Territory Sales Managers (TSMs), and customers to help identify needs, support active sales pursuits, and clearly communicate the value John Deere solutions bring to jobsite operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on jobsites, understands production demands, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Additionally, you will:

  • Partner closely with dealer sales teams and TSMs to identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and advance sales of large earthmoving solutions
  • Engage directly with customers through jobsite visits to understand production requirements and help position the right John Deere equipment and solutions
  • Support active sales pursuits by providing product expertise, competitive differentiation, and real-world application insights
  • Support customer demonstrations, dealer events, dealer training, and other field activities to drive demand and customer confidence 
  • Must be located within one hour of a large Metropolitan Airport

What Skills You Need

  • Strong understanding of construction equipment applications and customer production requirements
  • Experience as a professional equipment operator
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with confidence working directly with dealers, TSMs, and customers
  • Sales minded, customer focused approach with experience supporting opportunity qualification and competitive positioning
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%

Education

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent relevant work experience
