Mallory is looking for a Territory Manager to join our growing sales team in the Bay Area!

Territory Manager Job Duties

  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as monthly and annual territory analyses as requested
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Problem solves by working with other associates to achieve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Resolves customer complaints and questions by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by working with suppliers, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Manages Onsite Associates in daily tasks and provides support as needed

Territory Manager Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in safety, industrial distribution, or a closely related B2B sales environment is strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in outside sales or territory management
  • Familiarity with products such as PPE, fall protection, gas detection, or other industrial safety solutions is a plus
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Self motivated with a track record of achieving results
  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
