The Opportunity
As a Part Time Customer Service/Lot Attendant, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of our lot. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist customers with U-Haul products and services, providing exceptional service and support
- Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory
- Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers
- Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
- Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services
- Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental
- Install hitches and trailer wiring
- Fill propane (certification offered through arenaflex upon employment)
- Drive a forklift (certification offered through arenaflex upon employment)
- Participate in ongoing continuous arenaflex education through arenaflex University
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must have a valid driver's license
- Available part-time/weekends and holidays
- Able to be flexible with inside and outside duties (part of the duties is to sanitize the trucks)
- Computer knowledge
- Not required – handle cash or credit transactions with customers is a plus
Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
