Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative – Not-For-Profit Support Specialist (Remote), you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries and scholarship application status in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting families and schools participating in the scholarship program with their questions and concerns.
  • Ensuring that all questions are answered and callers are satisfied with the level of support provided.
  • Maintaining a compassionate and empathetic demeanor during interactions, even in difficult situations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support to our customers.
  • Staying up-to-date on program policies, procedures, and best practices to provide accurate and informed support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Answering and resolving customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.

  • Providing accurate and informative responses to customer questions and concerns.
  • Escalating complex issues to internal teams for resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and resolving issues.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on program policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least one year of customer service or call center experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain empathetic and personable in difficult situations.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with multitasking abilities.
  • Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC and internet navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a not-for-profit or educational setting.

  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Experience with data entry and record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
