Director, Channel Marketing

CrossFit is looking to hire a Director, Channel Marketing. You will be responsible for executing and optimizing how CrossFit’s marketing campaigns, content, and communications are delivered across owned channels. This role oversees channel operations, publishing workflows, and campaign deployment to ensure all marketing efforts are executed seamlessly, consistently, and at scale.

Working in close partnership with Integrated Marketing, Content & Creative, and Community Marketing, this role translates campaign strategy into coordinated channel execution across all organic channels: social, digital video, email, web, and other owned distribution platforms.

This role owns CrossFit’s website as a primary marketing channel, defining how content is structured, prioritized, and presented to support campaigns and audience engagement. This includes setting content direction for homepage, landing pages, and other key site pages, and ensuring the website remains current, cohesive, and aligned with marketing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Channel Execution & Campaign Deployment
    • Lead end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns across owned channels, including social, email, website, and publishing platforms
    • Translate campaign briefs into detailed channel plans, timelines, and deliverables
    • Ensure all campaigns launch on time with consistent messaging and a unified user experience
  • Channel Management & Optimization
    • Own and manage CrossFit’s owned marketing channels, including social, YouTube, email and website publishing
    • Establish best practices for channel usage, cadence, and formatting
    • Optimize channel performance through ongoing improvements to timing, structure, and delivery
  • Publishing & Marketing Operations
    • Oversee publishing operations across all owned channels, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality control
    • Establish and manage workflows for campaign setup, approvals, QA, and deployment
    • Own marketing technology platforms (e.g., social and email service providers, CMS tools) and ensure effective use across the team
    • Maintain tracking standards, including links, tagging, and campaign setup
  • Audience Segmentation & Delivery
    • Manage audience segmentation and distribution lists to ensure campaigns reach the appropriate audiences
    • Execute targeting strategies based on campaign briefs and organizational priorities
    • Maintain audience data hygiene and operational consistency across platforms
  • Channel-Level Reporting
    • Own reporting for channel performance, including social and email engagement, web traffic, and publishing metrics
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reporting cadences
    • Provide visibility into channel performance to support broader campaign analysis
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Integrated Marketing to align on campaign priorities, messaging, and timing
    • Collaborate with Content & Creative to ensure assets are channel-ready and optimized for distribution
    • Support Community Marketing with execution of affiliate and community-facing communications
    • Partner with Publishing Operations to ensure timely and accurate implementation of all website updates and publishing workflows
  • Leadership:
    • Collaborate with a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve departmental goals.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 8–10+ years of experience in channel marketing or marketing operations
  • Strong experience managing social and email marketing platforms, CMS tools, and publishing workflows
  • Proven ability to execute multi-channel campaigns with precision and consistency
  • Experience building and optimizing operational processes and marketing workflows
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
