Brand Marketing Intern
Responsibilities and Duties:
Internal Communications Support
- Assist with producing and publishing internal newsletters
- Help maintain internal editorial calendars and content trackers
- Organize and archive internal communications assets and content
Awards Strategy
- Assist with researching and identifying award submissions across marketing, culture, leadership, and innovation categories
- Help track award deadlines, submissions, and results using internal trackers
- Support internal and external amplification plans for award wins, including coordination with social, web, and internal channels
Social Media Coordination
- Assist with creating content for LinkedIn and our employee advocacy tool, Hootsuite Amplify that is tied to brand initiatives and customer success
- Support content calendars, publishing workflows, and post scheduling across corporate channels in Hootsuite
- Assist with monitoring community sentiment/engagement to identify trends and learnings
- Help track social performance and reporting
Emerging AI + Productivity Tools
- Support the Brand Marketing team’s use of agentic AI experiences, including helping prototype and test lightweight AI agents to support content planning, research, and social amplification.
- Use Microsoft Copilot routinely to accelerate writing, research, drafting, synthesis, and reporting—while applying strong editorial judgment to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand voice.
- Experiment with AI‑powered workflows to improve efficiency across newsletters, awards tracking, social content, and internal communications.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field with a preference for Juniors and Seniors with prior internship experience
- Strong writer who enjoys crafting clear, engaging content and pays close attention to detail—especially when working with recognition, storytelling, and brand messaging
- Organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects, track details (like deadlines and approvals), and follow through on tasks from start to finish
- Curious by nature and enjoy researching, synthesizing information, and spotting patterns, whether that’s identifying award opportunities, pulling together proof points, or analyzing social content performance
- Comfortable working in collaborative, cross‑functional environments and communicating with a variety of stakeholders
- Familiar with social media platforms and/or Social Media Management systems—especially LinkedIn—and understand how content, tone, and visuals work together to tell a compelling story
- Able to work for the complete summer break (May – August or June – September)

The base pay range for this position varies based on the geographic location. More information about the pay range specific to candidate location and other factors will be shared during the recruitment process. Individual pay is determined based on location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
