Summary:
Duluth Public Schools is seeking an individual to assist the Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher with program academics and curriculum offerings, including assistance in controlling student behavior and directing students so that they can be successful in technical classes. Assists with providing classroom and hands on instruction.
Mimimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 60 semester or 90 quarter college credits OR a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment.
- At least one year of experience as a job coach or a closely-related area
- Directly related technical skills and creative process used in graphic communications industry Knowledge of graphic design, photography, printing, silk screening, typography, and desktop publishing Occupational experience in the related programs of automotive, carpentary, cooking and horticulture Considerable knowledge of grammar, including sentence structure
- Basic math knowledge
- Some knowledge of a specific occupational area as related to supporting emotionallybehaviorally disadvantaged students General knowledge of special education and areas of disabilities General familiarity with classroom materials use in Career and Technical Educational classes
- Experience with equipment such as PC, Vinyl Cutter, Heat Press, Screen Printing Press, Design Tablet, Large
- Format Printer, etc.
- Knowledge of graphic design, screenprinting, dye sublimation, other skilled graphic trades
- Occupational experience in the related programs of Graphic Design, Adobe Creative Suite, Production
- Knowledge of the PC environment, troubleshooting
- Basic ability to maintain Graphic Arts Equipment
- Single Coverage ? District pays 100% of premium (FREE) + contributes $2,612.50 into HRA annually
- Family Coverage ? District pays 75% of premium (25% employee contribution) + contributes $5,225.00 into HRA annually
- Single Coverage ? District pays 100% of Basic premium (FREE)
- Family Coverage ? District pays 25% of Premium
- District provides minimum of $50,000 of life insurance at no cost, employee may purchase supplemental life insurance
