Pharmacy Implementation Lead
JOB SUMMARY
Serve as the Pharmacy Implementation Lead to deliver on design & build of enterprise pharmacy architecture and workflow; oversee PharmNet configuration and testing; manage formulary governance and medication order standards; lead and build TPN workflow, pharmacy clinical documentation, MCDS and codeset filtering, pharmacokinetics, rules for clinical monitoring, drive multi-site standardization; partner with pharmacy, clinical, and IT leadership; ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards; guide interface and automation integration; support go-live readiness, command center operations.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, design, and configuration of pharmacy applications and medication management workflows.
- Translate pharmacy operational requirements into system and integration specifications.
- Design and build the pharmacy system with model based optimized workflows related to medication ordering, dispensing, administration, and reconciliation.
- Design, build and support formulary management, medication dictionaries, meds administration, BCMA, order sets, pharmacy clinical documentation, pharmacy consults, pharmacokinetics, TPN workflows, clinical monitoring, MCDS, and clinical decision support.
- Antimicrobial Stewardship and Oncology pharmacy skillsets are a plus
- Partner with integration teams to ensure pharmacy interoperability with EHR, dispensing systems, and automation tools.
- Oversee validation, testing, and optimization of pharmacy system changes and new implementations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy directors, clinicians, and technical teams to ensure regulatory compliance and medication safety.
- Provide go-live leadership, issue resolution, and stabilization support post-deployment.
- Mentor pharmacy analysts and contribute to governance, standardization, and best practices across programs.
- Travel will be required for this role up to 35%.
