Brown & Brown is a company built on meritocracy that rewards self-starters committed to customer service. They are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join their Finance team as a Collections Clerk, focusing on managing SSDI fee activity and working directly with the SSA.

Responsibilities

  • Contact SSA Payment Centers to check the status of outstanding SSDI invoices
  • Prepare and submit SSDI fee petition templates
  • Respond to fee‑related inquiries from SSA representatives, claimants, and internal partners
  • Track and update invoice activity and notes (Salesforce)
  • Maintain organized, accurate documentation and follow up on payments over 30 days
  • Build professional working relationships with SSA contacts

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent (no college degree required)
  • At least 1 year of office or administrative experience
  • Comfortable making professional outbound phone calls
  • Strong organizational and follow‑up skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Salesforce experience a plus, but not required
