Eagle Point School District 9 - Travel Southern Oregon - Position Details: Title: Special Education Instructional Assistant - 7 hrs/day 2023-2024 School Year Placement (location): Hillside Elementary School & URCEO Supervisor: Principal or designee Contract Days: 179 days to begin September 5th, 2023 Salary Range: No less than $17.96 - $25.53 per hour, depending upon previous full-time experience in a similar position Closing Date: Open until filled with screening to begin as soon as possible Description: Special Education Instructional Assistants are responsible for providing, under the guidance and direction of a classroom teacher, instruction and tutoring on various subjects to students with emotional, physical, behavioral, or mental disabilities in assigned special education programs. Assists in maintaining a clean and orderly learning environment to ensure the health and safety of students; assists in cleaning and straightening the classroom; helps with student personal hygiene and grooming needs, including toileting, eating, and changing diapers and clothes in the event of accidents.
