Inside Property Adjuster - National General

National General is a part of The Allstate Corporation, which offers various insurance products through a large network of independent agents and directly to consumers. They are seeking an Inside Property Adjuster to investigate and confirm homeowners claims, determine coverage and damages, and negotiate claims independently within their authority.

Responsibilities

• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
• Demonstrates intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding most aspects of homeowner first party claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of systems and technology used within the company
• Learns how to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle

Skills

• Reside in Southeastern Pennsylvania, ideally in or near Bucks, Chester, Delaware, or Montgomery counties
• Intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
