Job Description:
As a Lead Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing and developing data solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences. Your expertise in data engineering, data science, and cloud computing will enable you to make a significant impact on our organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Data Solutions:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop data solutions that meet business requirements.
Data Warehousing and ETL Pipelines:
Plan and develop versatile data warehousing solutions, building ETL pipelines in large data conditions (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).
Data Modeling and Architecture:
Help engineer data structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with data engineers, data modelers, and data architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions.
Documentation and Quality Assurance:
Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance.
SLA and Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure high functional productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support our customers (data science, data analysis groups).
Key Capabilities:

SQL and Data Analysis:
Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract insights and build performant datasets.
Distributed Systems:
Experience with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data.
Programming Languages:
Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala.
Cloud Computing:
Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query).
Data Integration:
Strong experience with data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and writing and maintaining data pipelines.
Data Modeling and Warehousing:
Strong knowledge of data modeling strategies and data warehousing standard practices.
Agile Methodologies:
Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches.
