We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data scientist to join our team and help drive the development of our Home Terminal high-level examination foundation.

Job Summary

As a Lead Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for driving data science initiatives that drive business productivity, efficiency, and customer experience. This role will involve leading large-scale data science projects, identifying opportunities to leverage best-in-class technology and approaches, and mentoring data scientists in the project team. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a library of reusable algorithms and models, as well as contributing to the development of our data science team.

Key Responsibilities

* 30% Project Development and Improvement: Use your expertise to design and develop algorithms and models to drive business outcomes; Make informed decisions using cutting-edge analytical techniques; Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; Effectively implement recommendations to drive business results

• 25% Project Management and Team Support: Lead and manage large and complex projects and teams; Provide guidance on prioritization of work and ensure quality of work; Provide training and mentorship to junior team members to enhance their technical skills; Collaborate with leaders and teams to deliver results and allocate resources; Support the selection and recruitment process for the team; Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more data science techniques, both predictive and prescriptive; Lead data science networks across multiple business units
• 20% Business Collaboration: Influence business decisions using data insights; Foster trust and collaboration with internal clients and cross-functional teams; Provide technical training on advanced analytics to the data science community; Collaborate with IT to understand potential for new tools and ways to maintain technical expertise for data science; Identify new business opportunities to leverage data science as a competitive advantage
• 25% Technical Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with key advancements in data science by attending conferences and publishing papers; Participate in the continuous improvement of data science and analytics by developing replicable solutions (e.g., packaged data products, project documentation, process flowcharts) to ensure solutions are used for future projects; Define best practices and develop a clear vision for data analysis and model productionalization; Responsibility for reusable algorithms for future use, ensuring created code/models are archived; Develop expertise in one or more prescriptive modeling techniques, such as machine learning, computer vision, recommendation, search, or NLP

This position typically reports to a manager or above. This position has 0 direct reports and leads/oversees projects.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel under 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Mostly spent sitting in a comfortable position, with continuous opportunity to move about. Occasionally, there may be a need to move or lift light objects.

Working Conditions

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any adverse conditions would be rare and not unusual.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years old or older. Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, data mining, and data analysis. Demonstrated expertise using statistical procedures to identify key insights that help solve business problems.
