- University of Colorado, Denver -
- Teach a 3/3 course load (18 total credit hours per academic year) in the following areas of recording arts: music production, digital audio, live sound, surround sound, music synthesis, and audio for post-production, as well as any additional music courses as required by the MEIS Department, at both the undergraduate and graduate course levels
- Professors are responsible for the preparation of course content, syllabi, lectures, presentations, and student assignments; evaluation of student work; tracking and progress of student attendance and engagement; student advisement, management of course in online platform Canvas; etc.
- All other duties and projects as requested
- Engage in professional and academic community through publications, recordings, performances, multimedia, and professional development areas
- Produce professional work through scholarly and creative activity
- Engage in and contribute to the function and operations of the department, as defined by the department chair
- Work with the broader community in representing the university, department, and students

- Master's degree in Music Production, Recording Arts, Audio Engineering/Post-production or related field OR substitution of tested experience for the Master's:
- 5 years experience with a reputable national/international company in a primary audio/sound-based role, OR
- 5 years successful experience teaching at a major university or college in same or similar program, OR
- 5 years industry experience with national award or nomination in an audio category such as a Grammy, Oscar, Golden Globe, Emmy, or Tony, OR
- 5 years industry experience with credit as an engineer, artist, or producer on a Gold, Platinum, or Diamond record as awarded by RIAA, OR
- 5 years industry experience in the video game industry with primary audio role credits on at least two AAA titles, OR
- 5 years industry experience in the film/tv/video industry with at least 10 primary sound roles credited on IMDB, OR
- 5 years industry experience as live sound engineer for a major artist in the role of FOH or monitor engineer for at least 5 national/international tours, OR
- 5 years industry experience in audio product design and/or audio programming that had a primary role in releasing at least two major audio products.
- At least three years teaching experience at the college or professionally comparable level
- Experience that shows diversity, equity, and inclusivity practices, and inclusive pedagogy in teaching and/or creative work
- Experience teaching Audio Post-Production courses
- Record of scholarly and/or creative work, and ability to provide proof of portfolio
- National and/or international professional/industry experience in the field of Recording Arts
- Experience collaborating on cross-disciplinary initiatives
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse population at all levels throughout the institution-and into the community.
- Ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner, across various modalities.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and tasks in parallel to maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to create an equitable and positive experiences for all.
