Retirement Benefits Service Specialist- Remote

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
- Retirement Benefit Specialist:$25-$26/hr, plus annual bonus opportunity.
- Senior Retirement Benefit Specialist:$29-$30/hr plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external client communications related to assigned annuity contracts across multiple product lines, ensuring timely and accurate management.
- Analyze, research, and resolve issues in annuity administration, including setup, lump sum payments, death processing, overpayment recovery, and compliance concerns.
- Interpret and apply annuity certificate provisions for early retirement, disability, and death benefits, working with underwriting and compliance teams to address complex issues.
- Manage updates to the Comprehensive Pension Administration System (COMPAS) and related systems to meet client expectations, including processing initial checks and updating financial information.
- Research and set up federal and state income tax reporting information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Proven customer service experience including phone queue skills, with excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, meet stringent deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong expertise in the insurance industry.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to demonstrate creativity, diplomacy, and initiative in decision-making.

- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
PREFERRED
- Previous annuity experience, and understanding of federal, state, and business regulations impacting annuity administration.
