Region HR Manager - East Region - Remote

Our 250+ local customer service centers (CSCs) are supported by regional operations teams located throughout North America.
Ideally, the candidate will be located in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, or within a reasonable commuting distance.
Position Purpose: Under the direction of the HR Director, the Region HR Manager will be accountable for providing the full range of Human Resources support to assigned businesses and/or functional groups. The Region Human Resources Manager is responsible for day-to-day HR management activities including: Employee Relations, Policy Interpretation & Implementation and Performance Management. In addition, the Region HR Manager will support and implement corporate related projects, processes, and initiatives. The Region HR Manager will partner, consult, and contribute to business unit decisions and strategy and translate these strategies into tangible HR priorities while ensuring the business and/or functional group is compliant with all applicable laws and National Express policies. This is a remote position but requires travel to various locations. Responsibilities:
- Providing remote and occasional on-site HR support, guidance, and training to employees, staff, and management teams within a specified region on range of HR issues and practices;
- Initiating and implementing Human Resources programs to achieve business objectives and ensure HR support for internal customers;
- Investigating and resolving various employment matters including internal employee complaints, hot-line issues, EEOC, Human Rights Commission, Wage and Hour, and other in conjunction with Labor Relations and Legal Department;
- Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws;
- Supports the recruitment process for multiple locations;
- Guiding the performance management and performance appraisal process;
- Promoting employee engagement and a positive work environment;
- Assisting with the development and delivery of employee or management training;
- Building strong partnerships and working collaboratively with internal and external customers;
- Conducting special projects as requested.
