About the location:

The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Joining the pre-opening team, the Group Sales Manager will lead efforts to drive group business for Four Seasons Dominican Republic at Tropicalia. This role is responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities, cultivating client partnerships, and contributing to the resort’s revenue strategy, while delivering a seamless and elevated experience from first contact through execution.

This role will be US based and operate remotely while requiring regular onsite travel to the property as needed. The designated office location is still to be determined.

Target start date for this role is June/July of 2026.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure all requested services are delivered seamlessly to customers, providing servicing support when required.

  • This role is responsible for achieving individual booking goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Lead proactive sales initiatives, including identifying new group business opportunities through strategic prospecting, targeted outreach, and creative lead‑generation efforts. This includes building strong pipeline activity by researching market trends, monitoring competitor activity, engaging untapped segments, and leveraging data-driven insights to anticipate client needs and maximize revenue potential.

  • Actively source new accounts, re-engage dormant ones, and deploy tailored strategies to grow market share.

  • Representing the resort at tradeshows as designated by hotel and corporate.

  • Participating in business review meetings, special events, sales meetings, and other ad hoc meetings as required.

  • Developing new and existing accounts by mapping business patterns, understanding buying behaviors, and creating comprehensive group profiles.

  • Maintaining an organized, professional plan for correspondence, follow-up, and ongoing relationship management.

  • Generating hotel awareness and driving new business through direct phone sales, in‑person sales calls, proactive prospecting, tradeshows, networking events, and digital outreach.

  • Leveraging CRM tools to track activity, manage leads, and maintain accurate account data that supports proactive selling efforts.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Knowledge of Opera and Delphi preferred

  • Two to three years’ experience working in a hospitality sales role required

  • Exceptional communication in both English and Spanish.
