The Role: We’re seeking a proactive and highly skilled Full Stack Shopify Developer to help build, scale, and optimize RYZE’s eCommerce ecosystem. This role is deeply Shopify-focused and ideal for someone who doesn’t just execute tickets, but thinks ahead—anticipating technical needs, performance improvements, and scalable solutions before problems arise. You’ll own front-end and back-end development across Shopify, custom apps, and integrations, working closely with Product, Growth, and Creative teams to deliver seamless, conversion-driven experiences. This is a hands-on role for a developer who thrives in fast-paced DTC environments and enjoys shaping systems as they scale. What You’ll Do Shopify Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and maintain Shopify storefronts, themes, and custom functionality.

• Build and extend Shopify apps, integrations, and workflows using Liquid, Shopify APIs, and webhooks.

Â

• Own post-purchase experiences, customer portals, bundle builders, quizzes, and custom checkout flows.

Â

• Ensure Shopify implementations are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business growth.

 Full Stack Engineering

• Build responsive, high-performance front-end experiences using modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML5, and CSS3.

Â

• Develop and maintain secure back-end services using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.

Â

• Create and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support data flow across platforms.

Â

• Integrate third-party tools including Klaviyo, Recharge, analytics platforms, fulfillment systems, and payment gateways.

 Performance, Optimization & Data Integrity

• Monitor site performance, Core Web Vitals, and load speed; implement ongoing optimizations.

Â

• Debug and resolve production issues quickly to maintain uptime and customer experience.

Â

• Ensure accurate event tracking, analytics integrity, and data consistency across systems.

Â

• Support experimentation, A/B testing, and CRO initiatives in partnership with Growth teams.

 Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Design, and Operations to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Â

• Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, offering recommendations and tradeoffs.

Â

• Use ClickUp (or similar tools) to manage tasks, timelines, and development priorities.

Â

• Stay current on Shopify platform updates, emerging technologies, and eCommerce best practices.

 (Other related duties may be assigned.) What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of full stack or Shopify-focused eCommerce development experience.

Â

• Deep expertise with Shopify (Plus preferred), Liquid templating, and custom app development.

Â

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end frameworks.

Â

• Experience building back-end services using Node.js, Python, or similar languages.

Â

• Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and microservice patterns.

Â

• Proven ability to think ahead and design solutions that scale with business growth.

Â

• Experience working in ClickUp or comparable project management tools.

Â

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.

Â

• Familiarity with SEO, site performance optimization, and conversion-focused development.

Â

• Startup, DTC, or high-growth brand experience strongly preferred.

Â

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless commerce (Shopify Hydrogen, Next.js, Nuxt).

• Experience with Klaviyo, Recharge, or other Shopify ecosystem tools.

Â

• Background in CPG, food & beverage, or wellness brands.
