Join Us at Centricity Research!

Centricity Research is one of the largest clinical research networks in North America. We are a fully centralized Integrated Research Organization (IRO) specializing in conducting Phase I-IV clinical trials in over 35 therapeutic areas: inpatient and outpatient; pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device trials.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Director of FP&A to own planning, forecasting, and performance management while serving as a strategic partner to senior leadership. The Director will translate executive priorities into measurable financial outcomes, delivering high-impact analysis and actionable insights that drive business performance.

The position is responsible for building and enhancing financial models, reporting tools, and operating rhythms that support the Annual Operating Plan, budgeting processes, rolling reforecasts, and long-range planning. It plays a key role in synthesizing insights for executive forums, identifying risks and opportunities, and driving process improvements across the organization.

This role also partners cross-functionally to strengthen data quality and reporting systems, establishes governance over FP&A assumptions and standards, and develops the capabilities of the FP&A team.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain integrated financial models, including budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans
  • Partner closely with accounting to ensure alignment between financial reporting, forecasts, and underlying data
  • Analyze financial and operational performance across sites, including revenue, margins, utilization, and study-level economics
  • Develop and manage site-level P&Ls and budgeting processes across the network
  • Own end-to-end revenue cycle analysis – from pipeline and bookings through conversion, study activity and collections – conducting variance and scenario analyses to generate forecasts that inform commercial, operational and financial decision-making
  • Partner with operations and business leaders to align financial plans with operational drivers (e.g., enrollment, study mix, staffing)
  • Prepare and deliver KPI-driven financial reports, dashboards, and executive materials providing timely, accurate, and actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Develop and support board and investor materials, including financial performance reporting, forecasts, and analysis of key risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives
  • Identify and evaluate key risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to improve performance and capital allocation
  • Manage and develop 1-2 offshore FP&A analysts, driving quality, consistency, and efficiency across financial modeling, reporting, and analysis workflows
  • Translate strategic direction from executive leadership into actionable FP&A processes and outputs
  • Support the development and management of the company’s OKR framework, ensuring alignment between financial plans, operational goals, and performance tracking
  • Drive process improvements and build scalable FP&A infrastructure, including automation and standardization of reporting
  • Support ad hoc strategic analyses and modeling to inform key business decisions and initiatives

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • You bring at least 7 years of experience in roles such as consulting, investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate/business unit FP&A.
  • You have experience with private equity-backed companies and/or multi-site healthcare services, especially clinical trial sites or research networks; consulting, audit, or transaction advisory experience is a plus.
  • You understand contract-driven or backlog-based revenue models and how bookings and operational activity translate into revenue.
  • You have a proven track record of partnering with senior executives to drive strategic and financial results.
  • You’re skilled in advanced financial modeling, including building integrated driver-based three-statement models, cash flow forecasts, sales and pipeline models, and site-level P&Ls and budgets.
  • You have hands-on experience with financial planning systems (e.g. Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, NetSuite), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx), and operational systems such as Salesforce or CTMS.
  • You are comfortable leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance forecasting, analysis, and executive- or board-level presentations.
  • You have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, maintaining accuracy while meeting deadlines.
  • You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity to support business decisions.
  • You have a strong collaborative mindset and can work effectively across functions.
  • CFA or CPA certification is preferred.
