Role Overview

As Aliz continues to grow, we are formalizing a scalable delivery model to enhance our efficiency and impact. The AI Solution Architect is a cornerstone of this new structure, sitting at the critical intersection of business development, technical strategy, and successful delivery.

Reporting to the Director of Solution Architecture & Pre-sales, you will be the primary technical owner for opportunities in our sales pipeline. Your mission is to design innovative and commercially viable AI and Machine Learning solutions on Google Cloud that solve our clients' most complex challenges. You will be directly responsible for increasing our proposal win-rate and ensuring the accuracy of project estimates, laying the foundation for successful project delivery.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that requires a blend of deep technical expertise, business acumen, and strategic thinking. You will balance your time between pre-sales engineering and billable activities like paid discovery workshops, high-level design authority and hands-on quick POC developments on key projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Technical Pre-Sales: Drive the technical discovery and solution design process for all of our AI/ML opportunities, from initial client conversations to final proposal.
  • Design & Architect Winning Solutions: Understand client business needs and technical landscapes to design robust, scalable, and cutting-edge AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with a heavy focus on Generative AI.
  • Own Estimation and Proposals: Create accurate, detailed project estimates, statements of work (SOWs), and technical proposals. Your success will be measured by your estimation accuracy and the commercial viability of your solutions.
  • Run Paid Engagements: Lead and execute paid technical discovery workshops and proof-of-concept projects to de-risk complex engagements and build client confidence.
  • Champion Reusability: Ensure all proposals and designs leverage Aliz's curated reusable components and reference architectures to accelerate delivery, reduce risk, and ensure consistency.
  • Act as Design Authority: Serve as the primary technical design authority on key AI engagements during the critical kickoff and initial implementation phases, ensuring a smooth handover to the delivery team.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with Sales, Project Managers, and Engineering Leads to ensure a seamless transition from the sales cycle to project execution.
  • Provide Market Insight: Act as a technical expert, feeding insights from client engagements back into our business strategy and helping to shape Aliz's AI offerings.

What You'll Need

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years in a client-facing Solution Architect, Technical Pre-sales, or Senior Consulting role within an IT services or consulting company.
  • Deep AI/ML Expertise: Demonstrable, hands-on experience architecting complex solutions using both traditional Machine Learning and modern Generative AI (e.g., LLMs, RAG, Agents, MCP).
  • Expert-Level Cloud Knowledge: Deep expertise in cloud platforms, preferably in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly its AI/ML services (Vertex AI), data platforms (BigQuery), and general overview on core infrastructure components (GKE, Serverless).
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and commercial proposals. Strong experience with technical estimation, creating Statements of Work (SOWs), and responding to RFPs is essential.
  • Exceptional Communication: Outstanding client-facing communication and presentation skills. You must be able to command a room and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and executive-level audiences.
  • Strategic Mindset: A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
